4.75 Stars for Eli, Cain & Paige Matthews
Gah ok I asked for this short story, I wanted this, I asked Andrea for it! No I pleaded her for it and BAM guess what I got it..
Rewind shall we? This started off in These Men which is also in the Bend Anthology which I read what 18 months ago, I devoured that.. And likewise I did with this one... To start off I'm saying right here, right now THIS IS NOT A CHEATING BOOK, THIS IS NOT A LOVE TRIANGLE. BUT THIS IS A MENAGE ok now we have that out of the way lets get on with the review shall we??? In These men Paige Matthews which is Tazs and Easton's little trouble maker of a sister and upon moving in with Eli Easton's wife's best friend she builds a friendship with Eli and Cain that were gay... But in actual fact were bi-sexual and so that turned into more and then that became love...
Now we are years later where they are in a relationship that is different, unique and where their friends and family have had to learn that this is normal and love is love. There life is complete as they know it, well so they thought.
Enter Eli's 14 year old daughter who ends up spending time with them and disrupts their home and lifestyle. Gone is the easy going Eli and in is a man who is treading around his daughter so he can get to know her, where his sexuality is hidden and I suppose their identity as a family.
The thing that was loud and clear to me in this story was that this was Eli's story more so than Cain's. Where I felt that These Men were about Cain more and I wanted more of Eli here we got it.., I loved how much Eli loved his family and although selfish towards Cain more so than Paige he loved his family and his unit more than anything else.
What I love about Menage reads is the feeling of unconditional love and every time I pick a story up in this genre I fall in love hook, line and sinker. This was that, it had me teary, smiling, it had sexy scenes of all three and with them that had me fanning myself.
If you want a quick fast paced sexy read, then this series I'd highly recommend. You need to read These Men to understand this one.

This is the sequel to Andrea Smith’s These Men which came out in the Bend Anthology. It's about Paige Matthews, Taz's *sigh* younger sister and all around wild child. It's a year later and Paige is now part of a triad relationship: three people, two males and one female, with sexy golden boy, Eli chambers and the sinful dark angel, Cain Maddox.
I'd really enjoyed These Men and thrilled to see that Andrea was giving us another peek at these three were getting on. They were still scorching hot, loving and oh so sexy but what I loved the most about this was to see how all three of them had grown, especially Paige, into a loving, healthy, mature relationship.
I delighted in Andrea giving us a front row seat as to how they navigate insecurities, all relationships have them, and how they deal when life throws them a curve ball. This unexpected surprise comes in the form of Eli's past that forces them to deal with parenthood, owning who they are, and growing together.
This was sexy, sweet, sad, funny and oh so hot! Just love how Eli, Cain and Paige embody the beauty of love in its many forms. If you loved These Men, like MM or want to try something different, this is a short delicious treat and well worth the read!
