5 JAKE BECKER STARS
I'm going to start by saying if you're a fan of Emma Chase and haven't read this series, what the hell are you waiting for? You have to read the Legal Briefs series!! Jake's been my fave of these legal eagles since the get go!
When I heard Emma was giving us a novella about Jake, Chelsea and their brood: the ultimate dessert
Having the chance to visit with my favourite bunch of legal eagles was so much fun. And Jake Becker *sigh*...in true Jake fashion, he's still sexy-as-fuck and hilarious. I just adore how he says it like it is and is just an amazing father. There were so many sweet, hilarious and real moments, especially around parenting. Emma captured so perfectly the frustrations but also the pure beauty of being a parent. And some of the lines!!
“Why do kids only hear the things you don’t want them to hear? Every fucking time.”
And Chelsea and Jake...
I had all the feels that I had in Sustained but amplified because their a team, committed and nurturing a family together. Perfection!
I highly recommend this series. This novella is a golden gem. This is one of those quick, wickedly delicious reads that I’ll definitely be going back to when I need a burst of happy or a pick me up of an all alpha caveman or a really good fucking laugh. Thank you, Emma!

Sibarred is the perfect gift from Emma Chase to her readers who loved her Legal Briefs series. This novella is mostly about Jake and his family but Stanton/Sofia + Brent/Kennedy are also there.
“To our next generation—may they be smart, talented, and beautiful, just like their parents.”
Knowing what happens after the HEA is always the cherry on top of the cake, one all readers like to have. Sidebarred is the perfect addition to know that all is good.
Jake & Chelsea are raising 6 wonderful kids and the situation they got with them was mostly funny
“Some guys may try and give you a hard time about using condoms. And as a guy, I’m telling you straight up—screw them.”The echo of my own words penetrates. “I mean, don’t! Don’t screw them. Ever.” Shit, I’m bad at this.
I loved how Emma Chase manage to give an overview of small life moments that felt real. You don't always get the beautiful, there are moments of uncertainty but love is the most important.
I’ll never leave you, Jake Becker. Ever. Ever. Ever. Ever. Ever. Ever. Ever . . . never.”
The best part was probably the fact this is told from Jack's pov. The author is talented when it comes to letting the male speaks and once again Sidebarred was totally on point.
Because she’s more than my wife—more than the owner of the pussy that has me so very whipped. She’s my love, my home, the solace to my soul, the keeper of my heart, the center of my entire fucking world.
Now I only have one question are we going to have a book about the two teenagers mentioned at the end? That would cool right?
