Holy Sh*t! For a true lover of Mafia romance, it's pure bliss when you get a clash between the Cosa Nostra and Bratva!!! I'm speechless here. My mind can only wrap my head around one thought - when's book 2 coming out?!!!!
So here I go again. Bethany-Kris is THE Queen of Mafia Romances! I can’t get enough of her books. Without a doubt, if I need a mafia fix, Bethany is my go-to. I don’t need to read the blurb or think about it, simply one-click! And this woman has never done me wrong. She rocks my world!!
Another plus, I had the pleasure of discovering London Miller. This co-authored series is outstanding!! Truly, in case you missed it, this first book is outstanding !!
I don’t know where to start. I could go on and on. Even now as I write this, I want to relive this story again and again. It’s an amazing forbidden love, an outstanding mafia romance and all around spectacular read.
This is a tale between the Russian Bratva and Italian Cosa Nostra. Lines are drawn and territories marked. The Russians have Brooklyn (Little Odessa), the Italians have Manhattan and Coney Island’s no man’s land.
“Russians and Italians could never be friends.”
Kazimir ‘Kaz’ Markovic is the second son of the Pakhan of the Markovic Bratva. His father’s a violent, devious leader and with his eldest son estranged from the family, Kaz is the heir apparent. He has little to no use for his father. He accepts his way of life and even likes it. But he barely tolerates the Pakhan and trusts no one.
Violet Galluci is a mafia principessa. The only daughter of the Don of the Galluci Cosa Nostra. She’s the apple of his eye. Violet’s sheltered in that she knows who her father is but she doesn’t fully understand what all of that means. She’s feisty and pushes the boundaries of what’s acceptable for a woman of her position. Like the Pakhan, the Don is a master manipulator and lethal. My guess is we’ve only started to see what both these leaders are capable of.
Kaz and Violet once met when they were children. There was an instant connection. So much so, Kaz still remembers her. And while Violet was young, once she and Kaz meet again, she recalls their first meeting too. I adored both of these characters.
Violet's young and somewhat naive but she's smart and strong. She can't resist Kaz and I totally get it!!
I’m in seriously lust for Kaz! He's intense. Volatile. And so real.
The writing is so good that I could truly feel Kaz beside me as I read his POV. Fucking fabulous. This man, damn, there’s nothing he’d tell me to do that I wouldn’t.
“Kaz was that one person. For her, he was that one soul meant for hers.”
This was riveting, hot-as-fuck and of course, the ending, left me needing book 2 NOW! Not sure how’ll make it. Must Read!!
