Review: Sugar Rush by Sawyer Bennett

In the steamy and suspenseful sequel to Sugar Daddy (“A totally gripping take on romance and revenge!”—Lauren Blakely), a heartbreaking rift threatens to unravel a dangerous alliance . . . and a fragile new love.

After posing as an escort for the Sugar Bowl online dating service, Sela Halstead is looking for one thing: payback. She's closing in on the site's heartless founder, Jonathon Townsend, and she needs Beckett North, Townsend's business partner and her lover, by her side. She'd thought that their intimate nights together had forged an unbreakable bond, but after a shocking betrayal, Sela begins to doubt the brilliant bad boy. When push comes to shove, can she trust Beck to do the right thing?

Now that he understands the truth, Beck will stop at nothing to secure the reckoning Sela deserves. But between his desire for her and his disgust for JT, Beck doesn't exactly have a lot of control over his emotional state. Left with no other choice, he must summon all his discipline to maintain JT's trust and pretend that they're still friends. But how far will Beck go to prove his loyalty to Sela? He nearly lost her once. To keep her, Beck might have to kill for her.

Note: Sugar Rush ends on a cliffhanger. Sela and Beck's story concludes in Sugar Free!

Oh Hell this was pretty good. This is getting better and better and I wish I had the third book right now to continue the series Oh what appeared on my kindle yesterday? The third book :p . Yep you got that right, this ends once again with a cliffhanger, and one hell of a cliffy if you want my opinion. If you thought the first one was bad, wait for this one.

For those who's asking and if you read the blurb there's no much angst to know that things between Sela &Beck are setteling quickly. The main focus of Sugar Rush is help Sela to get her revenge. While I can't say much about the plot and twist in this instalment, expect quite a few. And if you think you have everything figured out, well let me tell you, prepare to be surprised.

Reading this will be only a matter of hours, Sugar Rush is definitely a perfect title that fits the book. It's a rush to put JT down. It's a rush for vengeance.

Once again Sawyer Benett, you capture me with your storyteller skill to surprise me when I waited it the least.
I'm also glad to see that SB, one of my fav' author doesn't shy away from touchy subject. It's a little contribution but still she pays tribute to rape victims in her own way. And she does it often in her books.

What can I say to convince you to try her books, nothing more, looks at all the reviews I've wrote for this woman and see for yourself. The Sugar Series wasn't a total win for me in the beginning but the story grows and the suspense is at his maximum.

“I think I’ve fallen in love,”“I hope it’s with me“Yeah . . . it’s with you“That’s fortuitous . . . because I love you too.”

This was a fast read in the continuation of Sela and Beck's story. While I was entertained and some of this was needed for them to move from where Book 1 left off towards the conclusion, I felt like it may not have needed an entire book to do it.

Having said that, I really liked both Sela and Beck and wanted to see these two come out on top. Sawyer does a good job of keeping the suspense high with a few revelations, some I saw coming and others that were a nice twist to this plot. And the hatred for JT is high as was my lust to put him down like the dog that he is.

Sela and Beck work through a few things and as we near the end of this book, they're stronger than ever...

Of course, there were a few moments where I seriously was shaking my head (at Sela) and wondering...

but overall, this was a good read and like book 1, we're left hanging!! Looking forward to continuing this sugar rush with the final book!
