Sugar Free by Sawyer Bennett

descriptionSela and Beck’s deliciously sinful tale of sex, lies, and vengeance reaches its explosive conclusion in the final chapter of Sawyer Bennett’s Sugar Bowl trilogy, which began with the novels Sugar Daddy and Sugar Rush.

For years Sela Halstead dreamed of revenge, but the quest for payback has been anything but sweet. Now, once again, she finds herself at the mercy of Jonathon Townsend, his hands crushing the very breath from her body. And even though she escapes with her life, Sela fears she may never recover. In desperate need of shelter and comfort, she runs to the one man she can trust. Beckett North has stood by Sela since the beginning. But can he handle the brutal truth?

Beck will do anything to protect what is his—and make no mistake, Sela belongs to him, heart and soul. The passion between them runs hot, even as their world begins to unravel. With the legacy of his ruthless business partner hanging in the balance, Beck stands to lose everything: his fortune, his family, his freedom. But each touch of Sela’s mouth on his skin, her nails down his back, makes it harder to let her go—and it might not even be his choice to make.

This was a good series with this final book ending on a high. Sawyer does a great job of weaving a twisted tale with angst, suspense, secrets and lies.

I also really enjoy Sawyer's stories with legal proceedings. I think that's partly why I really enjoyed this final book. The story went by fast and kept me invested from page one.

Beck and Sela are engaging characters and HOT together. Both were easy to connect with, root for and understand. This story is unlike any Sawyer has done before and I think she does a great job. She does suspense well, creating a deep and engaging story with some really nasty characters to hate and wish for their downfall.

I know I'm not the first to say this but my only comment is I think this could have been done in two books. Overall, I'd recommend this series. You'll be in for an emotional and suspenseful story!

Final installment in The Sugar Bowl series, Sugar Free begins just after it left us. With the cliffy we had I can assure that I needed to know asap how Sela & Beck were going to deal with this crap. I remember I was mad at Sela for acting foolishly at the end of Sugar Rush! And during a good portion of this book I was still mad at her.

So now buckle your seatbelt and enjoy the ride! This is by the most gripping book of the series. Sawyer once more shows her best talent when it comes to legal practice! That's the part I loved the most and the one I'm always eager to read. I knew it was coming and I wasn't disappointed.

Beck was once again the one stealing the show for me. his protective side is on full force here and I loved it!!

Can I just add I hope to have a story about Caroline soon?
