Throwback Thursday: Sweet Home by Tillie Cole

At age twenty, Molly Shakespeare knows a lot.

She knows Descartes and Kant.

She knows academia and Oxford.

She knows that the people who love you leave you.

She knows how to be alone.

But when Molly leaves England's grey skies behind to start a new life at the University of Alabama, she finds that she has a lot to learn — she didn't know a summer could be so hot, she didn't know students could be so intimidating, and she certainly didn't know just how much the folks of Alabama love their football.

When a chance encounter with notorious star quarterback, Romeo Prince, leaves her unable to think of anything but his chocolate-brown eyes, dirty-blond hair and perfect physique, Molly soon realises that her quiet, solitary life is about to dramatically change forever...

Mature New Adult novel — contains adult content, highly sexual situations and mature topics. Suited for ages 18 and up*

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
4.5 "I get you" STARS

I loved this quick, sexy, sweet read. It was just want I needed!!

Romeo Prince - this young, hot, sexy football player and all Alpha-male - sent my heart into a flutter and had my face plastered with a goofy love struck grin. LOVE him!!

Molly Juliet Shakespeare was not your typical heroine and that made me love her even more. With her passion for academia, her quirky glasses, geeky sense of style and spunky attitude, she was the perfect match for Rome.

If you're looking for a little bit of angst, a whole lot of chemistry and a HUGE amount of hot, feel good lovin', you need to read this book. There was just something about it that hit me in a really special and big way.

Favourite quote -- I would get weak in the knees every time they exchanged these words:

“Hey Mol.
Hey You.
You gonna give up that lucky sweet kiss?
If that's what you want.
It most definitely is.”

First of all what a whirlwind I have lived breathed inhaled and LOVED every Goddamn word and sentence this story has given me, I mean why haven't I read any of Tillies books before? What an Idiot... anyway I digress you get it I loved this whole story with A BANG actually sports romance is a genre I adore it's one of those stories where I can get away from life and delve into and really remember university life being younger with no responsibilities as such but mainly its sweet, fun a whole lot of sexy and this one has a stack on emotion in the mix which MADE ME FELL!!! Gah sorry this review is going to be slightly soppy 'I apologise'

So What's it about?
Molly Shakespeare is studious she delves into books and works hard cause she learnt at a young age what its like to be lonely she runs away from anything that will allow her to get near anyone else just in case that person gets taken away from her again. Her mum died at birth her dad died when she was 6 and then her gran who she adored and brought her up died when she was 14 leaving her in foster care we know that's not always the best therefore she has brought herself up she stands on her own two feet and with her head held high, but she doesn't let people in greatly until she meets Romeo.

Romeo hasn't had the best upbringing with cold hearted parents who only care about money and their reputation it doesn't matter about his goals or aspirations or what he wants with his life that's what they want for him to be the dutiful son, but Romeo is the Best Quarterback in town he's a born leader and loves his team, but due to his upbringing he doesn't let people in either apart from his cousin who he adores and his only release is women lots of them but they don't know his heart nor anything other than the player that he is.

But one class is all it takes to find each other and find something that pulls at their seams they just can't seem to walk away from each other. This is very much a story about two people who are from two different worlds who find something in each other that gives them hope and ultimately love which is what they both deep down crave~ to be loved.

"Why am I more? I don't get it." "You just are. You somehow give me peace in my completely fucked-up world. you get me; no one has before. It's that simple."

They understand each other like no-one else has they've been so closed off from feeling and letting anyone in that when they see each other THEY KNOW!

This is also a story about firsts!!!

Touches and kisses.

Romeo is the Quarterback he loves his team it's what he strives to be, he loves it he's good at it but his parents don't approve and while he loves it he has to be careful with the people he cares about which is why he's never let anyone in. This book has a level of angst to it, I was biting my nails at the later end of the book when I realised or guessed what was happening. Romeo is Intense and when he loves and lets in he loves HARD and HARD he loves his girl his lucky girl who he needs to protect and he'll do anything in his power to do that.

My Thoughts
I loved it, it kept me on my toes I was ahhing when they first kissed, I was jumping for joy when they got down to it I mean those scenes blew me away, Intense sexy emotionaland I had tears in my eyes on many quotes I highlighted a lot. Rome is everything I want in an hero he's Strong, he wants to dominate in the bedroom its where he seeks control its what he needs, where his parents never aloud it in his life he does there and he does on the field. He's a born leader as explained throughout my review but he is also sweet and he melted my heart, he has a BIG OLE HEART I really don't know anyone who couldn't love his soul and I really will be thinking about him for days.

Molly is Independent, slightly geeky but opposites attract and that was for sure with these pair I instantly felt their attraction, their chemistry THEM. She is also strong but they ultimately needed each other and together they were heart warming, lovely, sexy I really don't want to stop reading them so going to now read Sweet Rome.
