Review: A Thousand Letters by Staci Hart

descriptionSometimes your life is split by a single decision.

I’ve spent every day of the last seven years regretting mine: he left, and I didn’t follow. A thousand letters went unanswered, my words like petals in the wind, spinning away into nothing, taking me with them.

But now he’s back.

I barely recognize the man he’s become, but I can still see a glimmer of the boy who asked me to be his forever, the boy I walked away from when I was young and afraid.

Maybe if he’d come home under better circumstances, he could speak to me without anger in his voice. Maybe if I’d said yes all those years ago, he’d look at me without the weight of rejection in his eyes. Maybe if things were different, we would have had a chance.

One regretted decision sent him away. One painful journey brought him back to me. I only wish I could keep him.

*A contemporary romance inspired by Jane Austen’s Persuasion*

5++ Beautiful Stars

I think I've been sitting under a rock as this authors writing is AMAZEBALLS I've kind of watched some of my favourite reviewers 2. Being Lisa Jayne and 2. Being Angie dreamy readers rave about Staci's books always thinking I need to try her I need to pick her books up. It never happened until this week and now I'm thinking OMG where have I been? So to say I enjoyed is an understatement just her writing style blew me away and hooked me from page 1 alone.

This book is about LOVE first and foremost about who's important in your life and for Elliot and Wade that was something they needed to work out for themselves. As I read and as I cried this gave me so many feelings, so many #Feels throughout.

This is a second chance Romance, about Wade and Elliot whom are childhood sweethearts. But in the past they broke up due to hurt feelings and upset, maybe not making the best decisions as teenagers. So wade goes to the Forces with a broken heart he leaves everyone behind to ignore his feelings and doesn't come back aside from the odd day to work and to shut off. 7 years later he is back to care for his father who isn't well and so needs to take responsibility on his head and be there for his sisters. The thing is can he heal his heart? Open up his heart again, especially with Elliot being very much part of their family still, hearts need to be healed and can they learn to let go and move forward?

ELLIOT
I'm just going to touch on Elliot for a min and say she's the kind natured kind of heroine, I wanted to be annoyed with her but really she just loves and is brave. She gets hurt and I wanted everyone to care for her. She gives gives gives not only with Wade and his family but more so with her own. You want to bang her head a many a time yet she sacrifices so much and in the end you really step back and see how strong she is. When reading just keep on and you will see where her heart is. How she breathes life into every situation.

So ultimately this read is about healing, loving each other, and letting go of their past. But mainly about LIVING. This read is angsty, emotional and thought provoking but I is 100% a beautiful read. I'll be definitely going back to read Staci's other books.

Highly recommend.

That. Is. All
